Lovely tour of cacao plantation, followed by hands-on chocolate making experience. While actively creating chocolate using ancient techniques (grinding beans, rolling, experimenting with flavours etc), learn all about history of chocolate trade, the politics, the economics, the spiritual beliefs and applications...from Aztec times through colonization to current times. Fascinating! Run by an engaging and friendly couple who also can answer all questions about local area. As a bonus, we saw spider monkeys and green macaws in their yard during the tour.
